The Director of the Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials Research Centre (Prof.Rana Afif Anaee) participated as a member of the defence committee of the doctoral student’s thesis (Ali Hussein Ghanem) from the Department of Chemistry / Faculty of Science / University of Baghdad
(Electrochemical Reduction of CO2 gas using nanotechnology approaches) was defended on Thursday, 9 May 2025 in the discussion hall of the Department of Chemistry/College of Science
The discussion committee, based on the administrative order issued by the Faculty of Science / University of Baghdad No. 1204 dated 9/4/2025, consisted of the following faculty members:

The aim of this thesis was: To study the reduction of carbon dioxide gas and its conversion to polycarbonate products by using for the first time the measurement of adhesion by atomic force atomic force-distance spectroscopy.
