National Afforestation Day

Participation of the staff of the Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials Research Center in the National Afforestation Day

Coinciding with the anniversary of the launch of the initiative of His Excellency the Prime Minister in afforestation of five million trees and palms, and given that March 12 of each year is considered a day (national afforestation) and in response to the directives issued by the presidency of the university to actively participate in the celebration of the Iraqi National Afforestation Day in order to provide a healthy environment suitable for students and to eliminate the phenomenon of desertification.
The participation of the staff of the Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials Research Center on this day was as follows:
– Buying a number of agricultural seedlings to be planted in the corridors and gardens of the university.
– Making awareness posters as an activity within the activities of the Iraqi National Afforestation Day
To contribute to improving and preserving the environment, supporting the environmental reality, and increasing the activation of the volunteer work program among the affiliates
Increasing green spaces and creating a decent university environment for dear students.

– Holding a workshop entitled (The importance of afforestation in achieving environmental balance) This initiative comes within the framework of the directives and efforts exerted at the University of Technology to promote environmental sustainability and spread the culture of nature conservation
