On Tuesday, 6/5/2025, the Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials Research Centre in collaboration with the College of Applied Sciences held a scientific lecture in community service entitled (The importance of spreading the idea of smart materials in the academic community):

Prof.  Wafaa Abdul Khaliq Hussein.

In the presence of the Director of the Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials Research Centre (Prof. Rana Afif Anaee) and a number of teachers and employees of the Centre.

The lecture began by introducing the audience to smart materials, their history, uses and applications.
Smart materials are considered a product of the great development of materials science, as they have many uses in various fields, and in the recent period, research in this field has increased due to its wide and effective impact in the academic community, in particular the subject of the title of the lecture, and praised (Prof. Rola Abdul Khader Abbas) Babylon University / Faculty of Materials Engineering and offered her thanks and appreciation to the mentioned faculty during the lecture, the lecture also included some scientific discussions and at the end, certificates of participation were presented by the Director of the Centre to the lecturers.
