workshop(Foot-and-mouth disease FMD)

The Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials Research Center held on Tuesday, 25/3/2025, at the Center‘s hall, a workshop entitled (Foot–and-mouth Disease: Its Causes and Methods of Prevention), in which (Prof. Essa Daham ) lectured in the presence of a number of the center‘s staff, and the aim of this workshop was to educate the attendees about foot–and–mouth disease by providing accurate scientific information about the disease, its causes, ways of transmission, and how to prevent it.
Foot–and-mouth disease is one of the infectious viral diseases that mainly affect animals, especially cows, sheep and goats, and is considered one of the diseases that pose a great threat to livestock around the world, and leads to huge economic losses due to its impact on animal productivity. The workshop also touched on how the disease is transmitted, as foot–and-mouth disease is transmitted mainly between animals through direct contact.
